The Magic have one of the deepest guard rooms in the NBA. They further improved that core by drafting Anthony Black, an explosive guard out of Arkansas. Black joins Cole Anthony, Jalen Suggs, and Markelle Fultz as guards that are 25 and under on Orlando. The Magic also snagged Jett Howard with the 11th pick out of Michigan. The forward will have the perfect opportunity to learn and develop behind Franz Wagner and Paolo Banchero. Wagner, who averaged over 18 points last season, and Banchero, who just won Rookie of the Year, both broke out in 2022-23. Orlando is trending towards a playoff return somewhat soon.

Despite not picking until the fifth spot in the draft, Orlando may have won the lottery by watching Gonzaga guard and potential top pick Jalen Suggs surprisingly slip to them.
