Memphis has a budding squad with immense talent. The Grizzlies made the postseason the last consecutive years, and point guard Ja Morant is a big reason why. Morant averaged over 26 points and over eight assists last season. He’s set to miss the first 25 games of this season, but he’ll be an integral piece once he returns. To add depth, the Grizzlies traded for Celtics point guard Marcus Smart. Smart is an elite defender, winning the Defensive Player of the Year award in 2021-22. He joins forward Jaren Jackson Jr., who won the same award last season with Memphis. Add in Desmond Bane, who averaged over 21 points last year, and the Grizzlies are trending towards a deep playoff run.
