Personal

The Texas native was born in 1972 and developed a passion for music at a young age. His father bought him his first guitar and by the age of 14 Tomlin had already written his first worship song. In 1995, following Tomlin's graduation from Texas A&M, he released his first single "Inside Your Love."

Chris Tomlin has accumulated 1 Grammy Award, 19 GMA Dove Awards, and 2 Billboard music awards throughout his career. He was named the "most often sung artist anywhere" in 2006 and 2013 by Time Magazine. It is reported that Tomlin's songs have been performed by churches throughout the world more than 3 million times.
