New York had another stellar season in 2022-23 despite its early postseason exit. The Rangers are set up for another strong year this upcoming campaign. Forwards Artemi Panarin and Mika Zibanejad both had 90 or more points last season. Both players didn’t miss a game during the most recent season. Adam Fox was a runner up for the James Norris Memorial Trophy, awarded to the league’s best defender. Fox had 60 assists in 2022-23, ranking top five for defensemen. And the Rangers have one of the strongest goalkeepers in net. Igor Shesterkin had nearly a 92% save rate and ranked top ten in goals against. And New York added depth in the off-season with Blake Wheeler and Tyler Pitlick. All those factors spell a deep playoff run.

Igor Shesterkin has emerged from the shadow of goaltending giant Henrik Lundqvist and will be the Rangers go-to-guy in net for the foreseeable future.
