Florida was the most exciting story of last season, making an improbable run to the NHL Finals as the eight seed. On route to the appearance, the Panthers knocked off three dominant forces, including the Bruins and a sweep of the Hurricanes. The magic may have ran out last postseason, but 2023-24 should be another successful year. Florida ranked sixth with over 3.5 goals per game last season with Matthew Tkachuk leading the charge. In his first year with the team, the left winger ended with 109 points, a new career-high. Around Tkachuk, the Panthers have most of their top scorers returning for another year. And Florida’s goaltender, Sergei Bobrovsky, just posted a save rate at 90% or above for the 11th straight year. The Panthers will strive to return to their heights of 2022-23.
