After the playoff fire was extinguished for the first time since the 2017-18 season, this has all the makings of a make-or-break season for Calgary. Several key contributors enter “contract years,” which oftentimes tend to bring out their best. Matthew Tkachuk, Johnny Gaudreau, and Andrew Mangiapane are three offensive stars looking for paydays, any one of whom could be this team’s leading scorer. Elias Lindholm looks to continue progressing to become a 30-goal scorer. 2013’s No. 5 overall draft pick has made steady improvements since coming over from Carolina. Two-time Stanley Cup Champion Blake Coleman is in it for the long haul, signing a six-year deal in the offseason after his second Cup win with Tampa Bay. Jacob Markstrom returns for his second year between the pipes after recording a career-best three shutouts last season. While players look to go top shelf on opposing netminders, fans visiting the Scotiabank Saddledome can try the Top Shelf Experience. A personal maître d’ and service staff attends to your group for a seated five-star gourmet buffet dinner and be sure to stick around for the post-game cocktail and wine reception. Check out the Dressing Room Experience and enjoy a pre-game reception with a Flames celebrity guest before watching the team take the ice from an exclusive vantage point. The best view in the house comes with pre-puck drop dinner with the Centre Ice Experience. Balcony seats inside the Saddledome Grill overlook the ice and come with delectable desserts at intermission.

The Flames were a huge rags-to-riches story last season under new head coach Bill Peters, putting up 107 points and winning the Pacific Division. The playoffs did not go so well, however, as they were eliminated in the first round by Colorado. Calgary is hoping to parlay that success into a deep playoff run come this spring.
The Flames moved on from goaltender Mike Smith this offseason, instead going with David Rittich, who played well in a relief role last season. His backup will be Cam Talbot.
The goaltending is backed by a potent offense, featuring Johnny Gaudreau, free-agent acquisition Matthew Tkachuk, Andrew Mangiapane, and Sean Monahan. Norris Trophy winner Mark Giordano anchors the defense.
The Scotiabank Saddledome is filled with premium experiences that are focused on interactivity. In addition to luxury suites, you can choose from a number of unique opportunities. The Goal Judge Experience puts you in seats directly behind the goalie, and you get to go behind-the-scenes and meet a Flame after the game. The Alumni Dressing Room Experience gives you a pre-game reception in a private dressing room with a Flames celebrity, and then you are whisked to an exclusive area to watch the Flames take the ice. The Centre Ice Experience comes with dinner at the Saddledome Grill, then you can take your seats located at centre ice on a balcony inside the restaurant.
