Buffalo’s 2024 season had its ups and downs as the young Sabres made a push toward playoff contention. It's Don Granato's ship to captain now. The franchise removed the interim portion of his interim head coach tag over the summer and he'll get more than 28 games to stamp his imprint on this team. He'll do so without one of the most talented players the city has seen as the rocky relationship between Buffalo and Jack Eichel has come to an end. However, several skilled skaters return including former top overall draft pick, defenseman Rasmus Dahlin. Jeff Skinner is just three years removed from a 40-goal season and when healthy, Kyle Okposo can be an offensive force. Young wingers Rasmus Asplund, Tage Thompson, and Victor Olofsson could all benefit from more minutes, and the goaltending duties will be split between Craig Anderson and Dustin Tokarski.
