As a No. 8 seed, Miami downed the Eastern Conference's top-two seeds en route to an NBA Finals appearance this past June. Although the Heat ended up losing to the Denver Nuggets, they had one of the most improbable runs in NBA history. Miami returns strong in 2023, ready to make amends. Stars Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo both averaged over 20 points last year. Guard Tyler Herro continues to develop and is healthy after an injury in the playoffs. Miami's first round draft pick, Jaime Jaquez Jr., was a stud at UCLA. And the Heat re-signed Kevin Love and added guard Josh Richardson to add veteran leadership and depth.
